Lordswood Leisure Centre, Chatham Kent

On Sunday Instructors Chris and Shane Kent took a team of Kicks Fighters to this IKF Event.

Vijay Arora; Jamie Brown; Tanith Colburn; George Green; Adam Stubbs and Chris Vella had all been training hard to enter in the different weight categories within this event.
All of our fighters put their all into it. Junior Adam Stubbs deserves a mention for his very good performance in only his second fight against the very experienced Brandon Cook.
Jamie Brown and Tanith Colburn were both straight in the final. Both with tough opponents, and both had to work every round  but both came away victorious.
Jamie Brown is now the 10 – 13 yr (Under 55 kg) IKF English Open Champion after beating Jay Barker (Falcon).
Tanith Colburn is now the Women’s Under 60kg Champion after beating Linda Barr (Walton) in the final.
Congratulations to all the fighters and especially our new champions who attend every training session, and show that hard work and consistency pays off.
