Kicks Fighters with Instructors Shane Kent, Stitch Sayers (Eastbourne) and Tiffany Williams had a very good day at Battle of Kent 20.

This very well organised event had a bit of a later start than normal due to the breakdown of the truck carrying the ring, but once this was sorted and the event kicked off it all ran very smoothly with the final 64th fight at 3pm!

We had 10 fighters with five of them being novices: Junior Charlie Roberts (EB), Cadet Paige Gilbert (Btn), and  Adults Daniel Flynn (Btn), Andrew Millard (Sussex Uni) and Chris Bath (EB). They all gave 100%, and we look forward to seeing their return to the ring in the Autumn.

Kicks Cadet Fight team were firing on all cylinders.  Jamie, Brown, George Kenly and Adam Stubbs all showing excellent ring craft skills, accurate shots, and all coming away with well deserved wins.  Adam Stubbs, in what was now his fifth fight was incredibly sharp and focused and despite receiving an accidental knee in the first round which split his eyebrow remained focused and unperturbed to take the win. Rob Kenly was matched in a demonstration bout against Liam Wells ((Falcon Gym) who is fighting next month for an Amateur World Title. Both these fighters gave the crowd a great display of Light Continuous Skills and looked to be enjoying themselves.  Junior Charlie Roberts in his first bout looks to be a prospect for the future as he battled it out against a very game fighter from the active G Force Gym. Natalie Gowing Beckwith had her first return to the ring after her little girl and it was great to see Natalie getting the win she’s worked so hard for.
