Natalie was born and brought up in South Africa, and came over to the UK in 2000. Though she didn’t practice Martial Arts as a junior her next door neighbour studied Karate, and he would pass on what he was learning. Natalie has told me they spent quite a lot of time perfecting the art of breaking tiles in the back yard.

Natalie started Kickboxing at Kicks in 2009 and has been as integral part of Kicks for many years. Along with being one of our Instructors she is the Assistant Manager at Kicks. Everyone who comes in contact with Natalie will vouch for her friendly and helpful manner.

Natalie has been assisting in kickboxing classes since she obtained her Black Belt, but unfortunately due to an ACL tear which required surgery she had to take practically two years out of training. In 2020 she was actively involved in K.I.P.A. which was funded by Safe Space Sussex, and organised and run by Senior Instructor Tiffany Williams. These were trauma informed kickboxing programmes for those who identified as female, and had been subject to violence. Natalie gained confidence through this work in her teaching and was all set to start teaching but then unfortunately Kicks was forced to close as a result of the pandemic.

In the Autumn of 2021 Natalie started running the Junior Girls Kickboxing Class on Tuesday @ 5.15pm. This is a popular class and though the girls work hard there is always a lot of laughter in the sessions. Along with teaching the junior girls class Natalie is one of the regular cover Instructors for the women’s kickboxing classes.
